Inside Sales Representative

Position Description:

The Inside Sales Representative works as a key member of the sales team by qualifying all sales opportunities and working with the Field Area Sales Manager to manage, maximize, and close revenue in a defined geographical territories. A successful Inside Sales Representative has a career path to become a Field Sales Representative or Inside Sales Manager at MontaVista.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Make outbound sales calls to targeted customers and work the entire sales process for all $40,000 opportunities and below
  • Perform cyclical contact of installed based customers to identify, and manage up-sell and add-on opportunities through the various sales stages
  • Develop territory plans with their Field Sales counterpart
  • Close installed base add-on and upgrade opportunities
  • Conduct sales calls/demos via the phone
  • Qualify and further develop “warm” leads by performing and documenting end-user requirements analyses
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly pipeline and forecast goals and defined objectives

Qualifications:

  • Inside Sales experience with at least 1 year closing software license deals preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding measurable goals in a highly automated metrics based phone sales environment
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must possess strong prospecting account management, and closing skills
  • Knowledge of business organization structures, buying influences and purchasing processes
  • Ability to foster team orientation with counterparts
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Excellent prospecting and closing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Sales affinity, including curiosity, competitiveness, customer care/win-win attitude
  • College degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Computer skills and aptitude
  • Knowledge of Linux and chip technology a plus
